Ski Stop #5 of 42 - Purden Ski Village

 

Next, we had a short 79 km trek out to Purden Ski Village  -  Lheidli T'enneh Territory.

Nestled up in the hills west of Prince George, looking down on Purden Lake, is Purden Ski Village. When we arrived to the cool little community of on-mountain cabins, there were two young kids climbing a tree and we had to stop to help one of them get back down to the ground safely. It was a fun start to our day.

Purden offers two chairlifts accessing 335 meters (1100 ft) of vertical. When you are skiing off the Baker Creek Double (reaching a height of 1311 meters (4300 ft), the views of the lake are amazing. You can get lost in a serene dream world as you gaze out and descend. 

                           

We had moments when it felt like we had stepped back in time at Purden. Some old skis, signs, and maybe even their lift ticket prices for these days.
